  • October 3, 1900Apolinario Mabini, who was captured by American soldiers in Nueva Ecija, was released from imprisonment at the Anda Jail. He went on to live in Nagtahan and was supported by his friends, Drs. Isidro de Santos and Aquilino Calvo.
  • October 3, 1606 – Chinese-Filipinos staged an uprising against the Spanish authorities. They were slaughtered by the thousands of forces that included Kapampangan and Japanese conscripts. The leaders of the uprising were later identified and executed in Manila; survivors escaped to the provinces.
  • October 3, 1762Francisco Manalastas led a force of Filipinos to assault the British trenches in Manila. About 200 soldiers were killed. Archbishop Antonio Rojo convened the Council of War to decide the issue of whether to surrender or continue the struggle against the British forces.
